Do I need a PlayStation®Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership to play?

If you are not signed up for PlayStation®Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership, you cannot play online multiplayer. 

You can still play single-player mode, as well as play co-op missions by yourself. 

However, online multiplayer is where Metal Gear Survive really shines! So we do recommend playing the game having signed up for either PlayStation®Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Is it possible to play the game even if I cannot connect online, such as if the server is down or is undergoing maintenance?

No, an online connection is required to play both single-player mode and multiplayer mode.

I use the internet service provided as standard to my apartment. Will I be able to play online multiplayer?

Some users may be unable to play using this setup.

I use an internet service provided via CATV (cable television). Will I be able to play online multiplayer?

Can I play online multiplayer via wireless LAN or high-speed mobile internet?

While it may be possible in certain circumstances, we do not recommend it in general.
