"Grand Prix" is a mode where players divide into two teams and compete in earning points. The team with the highest total points after the two battle rounds wins.
You can play 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3, and each character has different power-ups (the Bomberman Bros can equip a cartridge to gain special abilities).
There are four types of battle rules: "Civilians," "Checkpoints," "Crystal," and "Basic Bomber."
Civilians
Players must compete to steal "Balloms", of which each team has five, from the opposing team.
Points can be scored by bringing back the other team's Ballom-chans to your base. However, movement speed will decrease significantly while accompanying a Ballom-chan.
Avoid messing up by protecting the Ballom as a team while returning to base.
Checkpoints
Scramble over the checkpoints that appear on the stage.
When a player enters the checkpoint, their occupation gauge increases and can be completely occupied when the gauge reaches the maximum.
Checkpoints occupied by the opposing team can be taken back by entering their checkpoint.
Your points will increase when you occupy a checkpoint or sustain an occupied state for a certain time.
A perfect can be obtained when you occupy all checkpoints and sustain it for a set time.
If both sides have the same amount of points (a tie) at the end of the battle, the team with fewer mistakes is victorious.
Misses will result in the player being reactivated from the starting point after a time-lapse.
Crystal
Teams compete to see who can get the most crystals.
Gaining one crystal gives you a point, but if you make a mistake you will lose half a crystal and point. Try to get more crystal than your opponent. If you get all the crystals on the stage, that makes it a perfect game, declaring you the winner on the spot.
If both teams have the same number of points at the end of the battle, the team with fewer mistakes wins.
When you make a mistake, you will be reactivated from the starting point after a certain time.
Basic Bomber
Play a normal battle and compete on how many times you defeat the opposing team.
You gain a point every time you defeat an opponent. Each player has limited lives and can revive as long as they have lives left. If you defeat all your opponents, that makes it a perfect game, declaring you the winner on the spot.
When you make a mistake, you will be reactivated from the starting point after a certain time.
