The WCQ: European Championship (and European Dragon Duel Championship) are some of the most prestigious tournaments in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. Duelists from all over Europe will compete for the opportunity to represent their country and continent at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship 2019 and Dragon Duel World Championship 2019. The top performing Duelists in both events will be invited to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship to be held in the summer of 2019. The winners from both WCQs will receive paid travel and accommodations, along with a host of other prizes, and the title of “2019 Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME European Champion.”
The WCQ: European Championship is a 3-day event. Duelists who have not qualified for the WCQ can play in Last Chance Qualifiers to earn an invite for the WCQ. Only Duelists who do not already have an invite to the WCQ may participate in any Last Chance WCQ. Duelists who already have an invite and participate in a Last Chance WCQ will automatically lose their invite and will have to re-earn it to participate in the Main Event.
The WCQ: European Championship is invite-only tournaments. The Dragon Duel is available only to those who are born in 2006 or later.
In addition to the World Championship Qualifiers, there will be numerous Public Events, including tournaments specifically for Duelists born in 2006 or later, and Regional Qualifier tournaments, that are open to anyone.
